By Minquas Fire Company No. 2 - EMS Division
May 25, 2025

On May 23rd, Chester County car seat technicians—led by Paramedic Fastman—joined forces with Mazi Adoption Services, the Downingtown Library, and fellow safety professionals in a powerful demonstration of community collaboration and commitment to public safety. The child passenger safety event, held at Station 46, marked the conclusion of EMS Week 2025 and supported the mission of Foster Care Awareness Month.

The event welcomed local families for an afternoon centered on safety education and community connection. Guests enjoyed guided station tours, an up-close look at the newly unveiled Engine 46-2, and complimentary treats provided by DonutNV. Certified technicians were on-site to conduct car seat inspections and installations, ensuring proper usage and improving the safety of children traveling throughout the region.

This event exemplified the strong sense of unity and civic pride that defines the Downingtown community. By bringing together public safety professionals, community organizations, and residents, the event fostered awareness, engagement, and a shared commitment to the well-being of families and children.

In addition to promoting road safety, the event served to raise awareness about the ongoing needs of children in foster care, spotlighting the critical services offered by organizations such as Mazi Adoption Services.

Minquas Fire Company No. 2 extends its heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered, and contributed to the event’s success. Through continued partnership and dedication, our community remains committed to promoting safety, education, and compassionate care for all.
