This evening the Downingtown Fire Department and surrounding mutual aid were dispatched to a commercial fire in East Caln Township. Engine 38 from Thorndale Fire Company was the first arriving engine and immediately began fire attack inside the building. Engine 46-1 completed the water supply to Engine 38 and Tower 45 from Alert Fire Co. No. 1 began roof ventilation. All other units assisted with operations onscene. The incident was brought under control quickly with extensive overhaul. Thank you to our mutual aid partners for their response and assistance.
