On Saturday, December 17th Santa Claus was escorted throughout town by both Minquas Fire Company No. 2 & Alert Fire Company No.1. The citizens of Downingtown Borough and East Caln Township had the opportunity to see Santa on Engine 46-2 and Tower 45 starting in the morning and lasting into late afternoon. Thank you to everyone who participated in this event and it was great seeing everyone.

While our crews were finishing up escorting Santa through East Caln Township both Engine 46-2 and Engine 45 from Alert Fire Co. No. 1 responded to a car fire in East Caln Township.

Santa Claus played a huge role in this incident. When not delivering presents, eating cookies, keeping the elves in line, or peeling carrots for Rudolph, Santa Claus volunteers with the North Pole Fire Department. During the car fire Santa assisted with establishing a water supply. Thanks for the assist!

Santa Claus also apprehended the Grinch while cruising on Engine 46-2. The Grinch has been turned over to the proper authorities. Christmas is saved!

If you want to volunteer like Santa Claus stop down at our station any Wednesday night starting at 6:30pm. This is also a great way to prevent any coal in your stocking.
