Tree & Wires Down on E. Lancaster Ave.

Just after 9:00pm Engine 46-2 was dispatched and responded to the 300 block of E. Lancaster Avenue for the report of a large tree down with wires. Upon arrival Asst. Chief Miller added Downingtown Fire Police to the incident to divert traffic away from the scene and notified PECO to isolate power and secure the area. Crews were on-scene for just over 2 hours.

It is safe to assume that whenever there are downed wires on the road they should be considered "live". Never approach downed wires and immediately call 911 and remain a safe distance away.
