Station 46 was alerted shortly before midnight for a transformer fire on Quarry Road in the area of the rock quarry. Chief 46 was first on-scene and noted a major power outage in the area but no fire or arcing on the pole reported as the problem. Engine 46-1 responded and stood by at the scene until the arrival of crews from PECO Energy.
