At 11:17am, this morning, Station 46 was dispatched along with several other fire companies to assist Station 39 (West Bradford Fire Company) on a house fire in the 1300 block of Pennsridge Place. Engine 46-2 went enroute several minutes after dispatch with a crew of 6 with ambulance and Medic 46 close behind. Minutes later Engine 46-1 responded as well.
Engine 46-2 arrived onscene as the first in piece of apparatus and parked on the "A" side of the house. A light smoke condition was observed on the "D" side of a two story residential house. The crew from E46-2 enter the dwelling with a water can and hand tools. The exterior crew pulled a 2" inch handline to the front door of the "A" side of the house. The line was handed off to a West Bradford firefighter to take to the fire room as a dry safety hoseline. The fire, which was in the wall, was handed by Chief 39 and the interior crew from 46-2 before a handline was needed. A electric fan was placed in service at the front door when the fire was out to vent the smoke out of the house.
Crews from Engine 46-1 and 2 assisted on overhaul then packed up Engine 46-2. Crews cleared shortly afterwards.
