Announcing the Passing of Past President Robert E. Lee

Robert E. Lee, 67, of West Chester, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Chester County Hospital.

Bob was the beloved husband of Mary E. Lee (Sload); together they shared 28 years of life, including 13 years of marriage.

Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas E. Lee Jr and Barbara A. Lee (Warren).

A 1976 graduate of Chester County Vocational Technical School/Downingtown High School, Bob was employed as a 9-1-1 Technician with Chester County Department of Emergency Services for 45 years before his retirement in October 2023. Bob was a member of the Minquas Fire Company where he served in many distinct roles.

Bob is survived by his wife Mary; his daughters: Amanda Smith and her husband Clint, Ashley Powers and her husband Mitch, and Alyse Gallagher; as well as his grandchildren, Madison Powers, Trevor Powers, Emily Smith, Logan Powers, and Nora Smith. And the most important female in his life, his precious dog Peaches. Bob is also survived by his brother, Thomas E. Lee III, his wife Susan, Teresa Rich, wife of John, Shari McIntyre, wife of Scott, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Minquas Fire Company, 141 Wallace Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335.

Interment will be private.
