On Sunday around 4:30am the Downingtown Fire Department and surrounding mutual aid were dispatched to the 100 block of East Lancaster Avenue for an apartment fire. Tower 45 and Engine 46-1 were the first arriving units. Tower 45 personnel forced entry to multiple units helping Engine 46-1 crews search for the seat of the fire. Downingtown firefighters also went to the roof to provide vertical ventilation.
