On Tuesday evening, just after 6:00, Engine 46-2 and Tower 45 were dispatched and responded to an automatic fire alarm at Home2 Suites in East Caln Township. Prior to responding, the incident was upgraded from a fire alarm to an appliance by Chester County Fire Radio. Upon arrival crews were met with a smoke condition in the hallway, but no visible fire from the unit with the appliance incident. Crews went into service with ventilating the hallway with PPV fans (positive pressure ventilation) and the alarm system was reset.
