Just before 3am, Station 46 along with Stations 45, 47, 49, and 76 were dispatched to assist Thorndale Fire Company (Station 38) for a house fire in the 200 block of Hidden Creek Drive. First arriving units found an active fire on the front side of the residence with the fire extending into the first and second floor of the residence. Engine 46-2 arrived on scene and secured a water supply. Fire crews entered the residence and performed a search for any occupants and animals and opened up the front of the residence and extinguished the fire burning in the wall and roof. Fortunately no occupants were home at the time of the fire.
Fire was investigated by the Caln Township Fire Marshal and County Fire Marshals.
Minquas Fire Company kept busy until sunrise as they handled two incidents at the Caln East Apartments just after cleaning up from the fire.
