May 19, 2011
This evening at the Chester County EMS Council Awards Banquet, held at the Red Clay Room in Kennett Square, Downingtown Fire Department Battalion Chief and Minquas EMS Co-Chairman Joel Swisher was awarded the Meritorious Service Award - EMS Leadership Award. This award is presented for exceptional contributions to the progress and improvement of the individual's EMS service; for significant personal achievement related to the EMS service; or for meritorious performance or dedication to the EMS service in general.
Joel has been a role model and mentor to many of our providers at Minquas EMS over the years that he has served. He is always that cool, calming force on Fire and EMS scenes that people look to for guidance in the face of chaos. Joel embodies the spirit of this award and we are proud to have him as a resource at Station 46. Congratulations Joel!
