Shortly before 9am today, Station 46 was alerted along with Rescue 45 to the area of Norwood Road and Wallace Ave for an automobile accident with injuries. Engine 46-2 responded and assisted with securing the vehicles. Crews remained on scene until ambulance crews transported one patient and local towing companies removed the vehicles from the location.
Shortly after returning to quarters, Station 46 was alerted again, this time to the Route 30 Bypass Eastbound, West of Route 282. Engine 46-2 responded with a report of one vehicle on the side of the road with smoke coming from the hood. Engine 46-2 crews confirmed it was an overheated vehicle and used oil dry to contain leaking fluids and remained on location until relieved by PSP.
