By Minquas Fire Company No. 2
November 9, 2010

On Tuesday evening Minquas was dispatched to the rear of the 100 block of Washington Ave. in the area of Beech St. and Cox Alley for a downed power line.

Chief 46 requested the crew from Engine 46-1 to investigate the extent of the power outage in the area as the power line appeared to string from the transformer to a multi occupancy apartment building. It was determined with the landlord on scene (who was working on the building at the time of the incident) that the power line was only supplying an attached garage of the structure and that no residents were without power.

However, the downed power line did block entry and exit of one of the first floor apartments to the rear of the building affecting the residents.

The crew on Engine 46-1 secured the hazard with caution tape, and cleared the scene.

Units: Engine 46-1, Ambulance 46-1, Chief 46, Downingtown Fire Police
