Honoring 50 Years of Service - Past Chief Michael L. Miller

During the June monthly business meeting of the Minquas Fire Company No. 2, Past Chief Michael L. Miller was honored for 50 years of dedicated service to the fire company and communities we serve.

Michael has served in almost all capacities of the fire company including Department Chief, Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, Fire Lieutenant, and Fire Captain. Administratively, Michael has served as fire company President, Vice President, Treasurer, and is presently a Trustee with the company. He was the lead individual overseeing the design and construction of The Minquas Fire Company’s new station on Wallace Ave.

Michael’s dedication continues as he is an active firefighter and oversees any maintenance issues that may arise with the building or company apparatus.

Joel F. Swisher, President of the fire company, presented Michael with a clock and gift certificate from the membership for his ongoing dedication to the fire company.

Chief John Sly, the President of the Chester County Fire Chiefs Association, and Station Chief Dave Staffieri presented Michael with a framed certificate of achievement for his 50 years of service.

Allison Miller, Michael’s wife, was presented with a bouquet of roses in appreciation of her ongoing support for Michael and the fire company.

A reception was held after the meeting in honor of Michael’s achievements.
