| On Saturday September 27, a crew of three fire fighters departed from the Minquas fire house to attend a fun filled event at the Lowes store in East Caln. At this event kids from the surrounding community came out to build their very own fire trucks. The kids were very excited to meet real fire fighters and see a real fire truck. The fire fighters assisted in building the trucks and also gave tours of the engine parked outside. It wouldn't be an outing without dressing a few kids up in fire gear! Thanks goes out to Lowes for supply the tools, kits, and other things for this event and to the Minquas Fire Company for sending Steve L. Miller (Assistant Chief), Tim Swisher (Captain), and Keith Whitely(fire fighter). |
