This evening, Downingtown FD had the privilege to assist in the welcoming home of several World War II veterans traveling in the “Honor Flight” from Washington DC. The ceremony and dinner were held at the Downingtown Country Club to conclude a trip to this nation’s capital reflecting upon the veteran's memories, and to recognized and thank them for their dedication to our country. Minquas firefighters were also joined by members of the Alert and Sadsburyville Fire Companies, as well as several other local police, military, and community support groups. The officers and firefighters of Downingtown FD would like to pass along our appreciation to our military veterans for their sacrifices and commitment to our country for our freedom. Thank you is also extended to the Downingtown Country Club for the invitation to this event, and we look forward to providing future services.
