The Chester County EMS Council held their 15th Annual EMS awards ceremony in the Red Clay Room at the Kennett Square Fire Company May 23th, where Minquas Fire Company and several members were among those honored for their exemplary services. This ceremony coincides with National Emergency Medical Services Week, which honors the dedication of those who provide daily frontline lifesaving medical services.

Minquas Fire Company Ambulance Division was awarded the 2019 “Distinguished Service Award”. This award is presented to an organization which displays a significant level of cooperation among other services, outstanding performance and effort when faced with adversity, or the promotion of an active display of teamwork and support of various emergency services organizations in Chester County. Minquas was also honored to receive the "Distinguished Service Award" in 2016 as well.

Minquas career staff Paramedic Renee Cherwinski, volunteer firefighter Tom Lee IV, and Downingtown Police Officer Joel Williams were awarded the "Life Saving Clinical Excellence Commendation". This award is presented to a member involved in saving a patient's life where signs were showing imminent danger of death.

Several of Minquas’s volunteer and career staff members were also awarded the “Clinical Save Commendation”. This award is presented to a member who was involved in a pre-hospital clinical save of a patient who initially was pulseless and not breathing. The following personnel received this award:

Jason Brooks

Fred Wurster

Congratulations and job well done to the entire Minquas organization and all of the personnel receiving individual awards!!
