Today, members took part in the annual Downingtown parade and ceremory for Memorial Day. Members reported to the fire station at 8:15 to get everything ready for the day. At 8:30 the apparatus lined up on Gabel Ave right off Pennsylvania Ave and waited for the beginning of the parade. The parade started at 10:00 and headed east on Pennsylvania Ave to Kerr Park. There a Memorial Day ceremony took place. Two new walls were dedicated to the Downingtown Veterans Memorial in Kerr Park. After the whole ceremony was completed and everyone cleared from the park, members headed back to station. Thank you to all attending fire companies for making Memorial Day Parade a little better.
