On Wednesday evening Minquas members gathered for weekly training centered on our cascade system. Our cascade system is responsible for refilling our air pack cylinders and provides air for our apparatus (Air 46). Steve Miller gave a very detailed PowerPoint that gave step by step directions and detailed information for using the cascade system and Air 46. Following the presentation members reviewed the cascade system and Air 46. We would like to thank Steve for his PowerPoint presentation and overview of this very complicated system.

Right after worknight concluded the Downingtown Fire Department was dispatched to Italian Village for a gas leak inside. Both Engine 46-1 and 46-2 responded shortly after dispatch. Upon arrival crews assisted Tower and Rescue 45's crews with investigating the building with gas meters. After the hazard was found crews used positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fans to remove the odor from the building. Crews cleared from this incident after 30 minutes in service.

At midnight, both Minquas and Alert were dispatched to assist East Brandywine Fire Co. (Station 49) with a building fire. Upon arrival crews assisted with positive pressure ventilation (PPV).
