To celebrate the 19th annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service, Cradles to Crayons is going region-wide in its largest product collection initiative of the year. On Monday, January 20, between 10:00am and 3:00pm, we'll collect vitally-needed everyday essential items for disadvantaged children, ages 0-12, in all five counties in the greater Philadelphia region. This initiative will be complemented by collection programs at a series of suburban schools. Click here for a preliminary list of sites and hours; more to be announced. For details on what Cradles to Crayons can accept, please see: http://cradlestocrayons.org/philadelphia/donate-goods/items-we-accept “We will have numerous collection points throughout the five-state region,” said Cradles to Crayons outreach manager, Jeff Baxter, “and encourage any organization that wants to participate as a drop-off site for this important initiative to join us -- the more collection points we have, the more items we will be able to supply to children living in low-income and/or homeless situations.” Minquas Fire Company is proud to partner with Cradles to Crayons this year as a Chester County Collection Location. Anyone interested can contact Jeff at jeff@cradlestocrayons.org or 215-836-0958, ext. 210. |
