Attic Fire on Jefferson Ave

Downingtown Fire Department was alerted at approximately 7:30PM to the 100 Block of Jefferson Ave in Downingtown Borough for a report of a house fire. Chief 45 and Deputy 46 arrived on scene with a 2 story duplex with smoke showing from the attic. Fire attack crews encountered fire conditions in the attic of the dwelling. The crew was able to hold the spread of the fire to the attic. Additional firefighters checked for extension to other floors and to the attached exposures. Crews were in service into the late evening hours.

Downingtown Fire Department was assisted by Station 51, Station 6, and Station 47.
