Daylight Savings Time: Change your Smoke Detector Batteries

The Chester County Fire Marshals Office reminds all residents that Daylight Savings Time begins March 14. Turn clocks ahead 1 hour and replace the batteries in all SMOKE DETECTORS and CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS at this time. ALL residential properties are required to have Carbon Monoxide detectors along with Smoke Detectors. If you have a question as to the placement of these detectors contact your local municipality Code/Building Enforcement office.
