The Downingtown Fire Department was dispatched to a chimney fire in East Bradford Township. The call was upgraded to a report of a house fire after a backup call reported smoke in the attic of the structure. Units from stations 39 (West Bradford), 47 (Lionville), and 49 (East Brandywine) responded to assist on the incident. Fire was contained to the area of the chimney with some extension to the roof area of the structure. Crews battled high winds, heavy snow conditions, and icy road surfaces for the duration of the call. Units were working on scene for approximately 4.5 hours.
