Now Under Construction!

      The Minquas Fire Company No. 2 of Downingtown is in the process of building and moving to our new home on Wallace Avenue at the former Mattia Landscaping property. An agreement to sell the firehouse currently located at 202 E. Lancaster Avenue has been signed with Molly Maguire's Irish Restaurant & Pub. The new firehouse should be completed by the end of the year. A larger building will allow for quicker response of the appropriate fire and EMS apparatus as each unit will have its own garage door. The firehouse will be located off of the main "Business Route 30" or E. Lancaster Avenue, which will result in less traffic tie ups for responding or returning apparatus and better safety for our volunteers. A 9/11 memorial will be dedicated in front of the firehouse where custom pavers (available for a donation through the Minquas Ladies Auxiliary - Get your Brick Order Form here.
