DFD Responds to Friday Night Accident on Route 113

On Friday night, the Downingtown Fire Department responded to a two vehicle accident on Route 113 near the Route 30 Bypass off ramps. Engine 46-2 and Air 46 responded simultaneously along with Ambulance 46-1 and Medic 46-1. On scene EMS requested a second ambulance and medic to the scene. Ambulance 46-2 and Medic 46-2 responded to the scene, along with MICU 87.
Upon arrival crews assisted EMS and controlled hazards at the scene with extinguishers, oil dry, and brooms. Rescue 45 provided vehicle stabilization and also assisted EMS crews. All units were in service for just about under an hour.
