At approximately 8:30pm, Station 39 (West Bradford) and Station 46 were dispatched to the 1600 block of Creagh Knoll Lane for a dwelling fire. Additional information upon dispatch was a chimney with possible extension into the attic. While apparatus were responding, Chief 39 arrived on location with a single family dwelling with fire from the roof. The working dispatch and a second alarm were struck to bring sufficient resources to the scene. Engine 46-2 arrived on scene as the third engine. Air 46 provided scene lighting and filled air cylinders with assistance from Air 52. Minquas EMS units assisted with medical and rehab support services at the scene. All Downingtown units were cleared from the incident around 11pm.
Thank you to Engine 5 for standing by for Downingtown Fire Department while we were operating at the fire and for covering a call with Station 6.
